Communication
People outside the lecture hall have an interest in science, especially when approached in terms they understand and stories they can connect with. We collaborate with others at Cornell and beyond to develop communication skills scientists can apply to share their theories, their excitement, and their challenges. The Physics Factor PhD Candidate Kathrn McGill interviews scientists (mainly in physics) about their research and interests. McGill’s vlog is up on You Tube.
Center for Communicating Science
In 2013 we partnered with the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science to host science communication training for about 50 Cornell faculty members.
